Rhinoplasty Palo Alto
The nose is the defining feature of the face, and as such, subtle changes can create a better balance to the face and improve ones appearance. A rhinoplasty is a procedure to reshape the nose and provide better proportions. The procedure can also be performed to improve breathing, or restore the appearance of a nose that has sustained trauma.
The surgery can address a hump to the nose, can straighten a crooked nose or deviated septum, or shape the tip of the nose. Depending on your individual anatomy and the goals for procedure the surgery can be performed through either a closed approach with the scars being inside the nostrils or an open approach that adds a short scar across the bottom of the nose.
Rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult procedures in all of cosmetic plastic surgery. One of the most common problems in rhinoplasty and a cause for revision surgery is the result that does not meet ones expectations. It is important to have clearly defined goals for surgery and to discuss these with your surgeon. Good rapport and communication between the patient and the surgeon, combined with surgical skill and a sense of aesthetics increases the chances that you will be satisfied with the outcome of your surgery.
Photographs will be taken before surgery. You are welcome to schedule an additional appointment to review computer imaging of potential results and the goals for surgery. These images can help for both of us to find out if our visions for the outcome of your procedure are in sync. It is important to understand that computer morphing of images does not take into account factors such as scar and wound healing. As such, the images do not imply a guarantee or warranty of possible outcomes for your procedure.
